Final Year Project 2

Activity: 1ST FYP Briefing The fifth week is the 1st briefing of the FYP 1. The briefing was conducted online via Microsoft Teams.  The briefing was conducted  By:  Dr Zuhanis (FYP Coordinator) Objective: ·                       To know all details about FYP. ·                      FYP title requirement ·                       To determine the requirements needed in FYP. Content: In the briefing, the FYP committees have briefed us about: ·                        Introduction ·                       Objectives ·                        Credits and duration ·                       Scope of projects ·                       Title selection ·                       Project Assessment ·                       Presentation day ·                       Submission date of project Conclusion: The students were required to carefully select the title of the project. For degree students, the title must reflect the capability and knowledge of a degree student. Students may select the titles that are off

For this week, I need to make a lot of research on my project which is Monitoring System of PUI Respiration Rate. The research was include the use of variety sensor in detecting the pressure on the chess wall.  The previous work on method of monitoring without contact with the patients. I also research about the Symptom of Covid-19 and how the symptom effect respiration rate of the Covid-19 Patient. Therefor, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, i need to create a remotely device that can monitor respiration rate of the patient without any contact with them. Beside that the article I research also include the breathing mechanism.

Activity: FYP Registration For this week, the FYP student need to register their FYP title, Therefore,  I starts to choose my FYP title to present to my SV for registration. But before that, I did some research about my FYP project with absolute ridiculous and intense brainstorming just to get some brilliant ideas. With the help of my supervisor, I complete my FYP title registration. Besides, my friends also giving me some advice how to properly choose a topic. Lastly, I settled on with the topic that I have chosen for my project which is Covid-19(PUI): Respiration Rate Monitoring System .  

  Activity : Meet Supervisor for Discussing about the Proposal Report This week is a discussing week with my supervisor about the proposal report. I had visited DR Hasmiza at her office to discuss about the idea of my FYP project and but unfortunately I didn't  decide on any project yet . Therefore, Dr. give me an idea on this one project which is about the respiration rate. As due to the covid-19, she ask me to create a project on how to measure the respiration of Covid-19 patients. She also give me several article that relation to respiration rate to help me started.

Activity : Find a Supervisor for Final Year Project (FYP) 1. In this week, which is week three,  I need to find the supervisor already.   All student in Semester 6 including me are busy searching for a supervisor to guide us in complete the Final Year Project.  So decide to ask one of the medical lecturer to be Supervisor  as I can easily ask for help in my final year project about medical electronics. So, I scouted for a lecturer to be my supervisor for my Final Year Project, preferably from the Medical Electrical Section. I went to see Dr HAsmiza and then ask her to be Supervisor of my Final Year Project. Usually, the name that have been in Supervisor list need their own quota for the student to be under his/her supervision as mention in the first breafing.
